Umm Al-Qura University Makkah is going to host a two day hajj research forum on Wednesday and Thursday. More than forty scientific papers are participating under the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Research.
The forum is looking to improve Hajj and Umrah Services as well as the services offered to visitors and it inculcates the modern technology and scientific research in order to help visitors to perform their duties more efficiently. The president of Umm Al-Qura, Bakri Al-Assas made this statement to Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.
A great number of researchers, officials, specialists and companies specialized in Hajj and Umrah will present their proposals and studies to comparing notes so as to ensure maximum safety and security for pilgrims.
He explained that the institute which is a subsidiary of the university is cooperating with government departments, researchers and private agencies to learn from past experiences and to improve crowd management.
It will cover the operational and administrational aspects of Umrah and Hajj services and the ways to augment service efficiency. In connection to deal with social, economic, psychological and the legal needs. It will also focus on eradicating beggary, increasing charitable food distribution and enhancing volunteer services.
This research would be very beneficial to improve the operations of the Umrah and Hajj and a lot of public will be benefited from these findings.
